I checked the web sites yesterday. There are 3-4 law schools that offer distance learning LPC/BVC in England. But distance learning within England only. I asked one of the schools if I could join from HK. But they have not answered. I really do not mind doing a distance learning BVC with one of the UK schools. For BVC you need a 2:2. A PCLL seminar was hosted last night. The organizer said that last year HKU PCLL took 70 people in total from London external and local CPE. Around 35 from London LLB external and 35 from local MMU CPE(half and half). Out of the 140-150 graduates of local MMU CPE around 76 were eligible for PCLL and of course not everyone applied. Being a foreigner who really does not know much about the common law tradition and the Anglo-American Legal system nd politics, I found studying public law a major pain at first. Nevertheless I found out an unorthodox solution to tackle this problem - by watching the classic BBC comedy of "Yes Minister" and "Yes Prime Minister" ! You can take 4 exams at the same sitting under route A and then change to B. In this case you only have to do tort and land (which is difficult) in year 2. 5 subjects in the second year is a bit challenging to me. Read the study guides, textbooks and casebooks first. London U Ext 2:2 students are treated just like a 2:2 student from any other university. There is no preferential treatment anymore. With a 2:2 you may still be able to get in but I doubt they can take all 2:2 students because of the limited space they have. As for traning contracts, it is almost impossible to get into a city firm with a 2:2 (even most of the 2:1 won't be able to). I'm not
