Public Law Study Tips
Being a foreigner who really does not know much about the common law tradition and the Anglo-American Legal system nd politics, I found studying public law a major pain at first. Nevertheless I found out an unorthodox solution to tackle this problem - by watching the classic BBC comedy of "Yes Minister" and "Yes Prime Minister" !
I am not sure if it will work for you but it surely works for me. I spent several hours to watch the whole series (and several hours more for review) and I realized that I have learnt more than spending days and weeks swallowing the textbooks and past Q&A.
The show covers the issues like Ministerial responsibility, cabinet system, European stuffs, select committees, scrutiny, parliament, executives, etc;
And they presented it well. It is funny and it never hurts to have a laugh after hours of reading, right ? :)
Again, i must remind you all again that this is by no means a substitute of textbook, you should indeed take it like a useful reference material.
(I got 67 in Public Law so i suppose it works!)
